Reminder: The CVHS Class of '67 Ladies' Retreat, in Monterey, is coming right up on October 16. Most of us have made reservations in the Munras/Abrego area. Once we have checked in to our hotels, we will meet in the lobby area of the Best Western Plus, 825 Abrego Street at 4:45. We will walk 4 - 5 blocks to Fisherman's Wharf to explore, then have dinner at Sand Bar Grill on Wharf #2. If walking is an issue, we can always drive. If you are planning to attend, please text me at (831) 277 6461 to confirm. Also, I want to host a simple brunch, at our home, on Thursday, October 18, before everyone takes off. When you text to confirm attending the retreat, please indicate if you will be able to do the brunch. I look forward to seeing all of you. Best, Bonnie

Ladies' October 16-18, 2018 Reunion/Retreat in Monterey

For those who wish to attend, I advise making room reservations soon. Feel free to stay where you want, at a favorite spot, with relatives or friends. However, I have included several suggestions for lodging.

The charm of Monterey is found by walking the area. The first group of hotels is right near the water, at the end of Alvarado Street, which is the hub of downtown.

Hotel and Spa $199
Hotel Pacific $242
Monterey Marriott $299

The next group is a couple of blocks further away but also very nice and walking distance to restaurants etc.

Casa Munras $180
Hotel Abrego $179
Colton Inn $150

The Hyatt and Hilton are both excellent but don't offer that walking experience of being in the middle of the action. Both are still a good option. Again, these are suggestions.

Dinners, on the 16th and 17th, will be planned where we can gather as a group, but the overall agenda will be unstructured. There are many activities for small groups including Fisherman's Wharf, Art galleries, museums, Cannery Row, the Aquarium, Pacific Grove, Carmel and many more. My favorite is walking the rec trail along the water from Pacific Grove to Asilomar.

I am encouraged by the quick response and look forward to spending time with some wonderful women. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions.

Best, Bonnie Spark Keithly
