Richard Elliott
Macon, GA

I received an MD and PhD (biophysics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, served two years in the Army (major), was medical director in several public hospitals and state medical director for Georgia's public mental health system.  I was the expert in a US Supreme Court case (Olmstead, 1999) and recently testified to the US Civil Rights Commission on civil rights and the mentally ill.  I teach medical ethics and professionalism and the Mercer University School of Medicine, and criminal law and mental health in the law school.  I have a son Robert who is entering the Navy (nuclear, submarines) and a daughter Katie (teaches voice).  I live in a house built in 1841 in Macon with my wife Peggy, a French professor, and enjoy tennis and cycling. I wish I hadn't been such a jerk in high school, but perhaps I am not alone in wishing I had done a bit more growing up before I got there.  Anyway, many fond memories and I wish you all well.

I live in Bend, Oregon with my husband Jim. We've been married for 22 years. We both have a daughter from a former marriage. My daughter, Shannon, is 41 years old and lives in Hawaii and has three children. Jim's daughter, Janette, is 31 years old and lives in Colorado and has two daughters with another one on the way! I worked for over 30 years as a bank teller and had about 10 years in retail. I currently am retired and love it!! Jim and I lived in Hawaii for many many years. We moved to Oregon and have enjoyed it a lot. But, I am getting tired of being land locked and long for the ocean again! So, in a few years (or less I hope) we plan to move to Sequim, Wa. if possible. If not there then along the coast for sure! Can't wait!

Right after high school I went to work for Pac Bell in SF. Married Rees in 1968 (Del Valle Grad). We celebrated 43 yrs. of marriage this past January, and are still having a blast!. We have 2 boys, Jason 40, and Daniel 38. Both married and live in the area. Jason in Concord, Dan in Danville (Both Concord High grads). Between them we have 5 grandkids 4 girls and 1 boy. My oldest granddaughter is a freshman at....yep, Clayton Valley H. S. Kind of weird, (she really thinks so), but fun going to her volleyball and basketball games in the same gym as I played in.
Early life- lived in San Francisco, down South, then in Hawaii (Kauai). Where we adopted the culture as our own. On our return we settled back in Concord, and after being a stay at home Mom for 14 yrs., went to work for Mt. Diablo Unified working with Spec. Ed Kids, and recently retired with 25 yrs., Rees retired from Safeway too, and we are having the time of our lives! Besides being able to make every grand kids baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, T-ball, football game, Rees is a crazy photog nut, even sells one once in awhile, and remember when I said I adopted the Hawaiian culture..I am an avid hula and Tahitian (slow) dancer for over 15 yrs. I have competed all over with my groups, and even at my age, won many times. I sing, and play the ukulele, and part of Diablo Hui O Aloha. I still dance 4 days a week, and perform for private and public venues. We visit the islands a few times a yr. mainly Kauai, and are about to make the big change and relive our dream of returning, to live out the rest of our golden years.
Not rich and famous, not world travelers, a few (or more) rough patches since High school days, but all in all we have been blessed with an amazing life, great marriage, awesome kids, and 5 incredible grand kids! Life is Good!
I am on Facebook, Jenny Keala Markham, and have a couple CVHS friends, come by and say Aloha!
