Graduated from Chico State with a teaching credential in the early 70's and taught elementary school for 6 years, before going into business management with JCPenney at their Reno facility in 1980. Mark Hafner | After graduation from CVHS, I attended the California Maritime Academy (in Vallejo) and received a bachelor's degree in Nautical Science and a commission in the U.S. Navy in 1970. After graduating, I served as a sea-going officer in the U.S. Merchant Marines from 1970 to 1972. I enrolled as a Master's student a Occidental College in Los Angeles. In March of 1973 I married Darcey A. Raney, who was attending Humbolt State University at the time. (Darcey graduated from Pleasant Hill High in 1969.) I graduated with an M.A. in biology in the spring of 1975, and in the fall of 1975, I enrolled in the Ph.D. program in zoology at the University of California, Berkeley. Our first daughter, Emily (currently pursuing her MBA at LSU), was born in 1975; and our second daughter, Julia (now married and living in the Baton Rouge area), was born in 1978. I graduated from Berkeley with a Ph.D. in zoology in 1979 and was offered assistant professorships at LSU and the University of Michigan. Mike Haluchak | Mike Haluchak has been the linebackers coach for the National Football League Oakland Raiders from 2009 -2010. The Concord, Calif. native has served 24 years as an assistant coach in the NFL, including four as linebackers coach with the Cleveland Browns. Before his stint in Cleveland, Haluchak spent two seasons (2003-04) as linebackers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joined Jacksonville from St. Louis, where he coached for three seasons (2000-02) and helped the Rams to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXVI. Haluchak began his NFL coaching career with San Diego in 1986 and spent six seasons with the Chargers. He has also coached with the Cincinnati Bengals (1992-93), Washington Redskins (1994-96), and New York Giants (1997-99). Haluchak was a high school coach in Southern California from 1972-75 and entered the collegiate ranks as a graduate assistant at USC from 1976-77. He moved to Cal State Fullerton in 1978 as the defensive backfield coach and his first tour as a linebackers coach was at Pacific (1979-80). Haluchak also coached at California (1981), North Carolina State (1982) and spent three seasons with the Oakland Invaders of the USFL (1983-85). He played linebacker and safety at USC and saw action in the 1969 and 1970 Rose Bowl games against Ohio State and Michigan. David Halverstadt | I live in Lacey Washington in a retirement community called Jubilee. I am not retired yet but I wanted to be prepared by living here in advance. I am married. I met my wife Joanie at Whitman College in Walla Walla WA. Joanie and I have three children all of whom are adults and are busy in their respective careers. I have worked in Human Resources for the State of Washington for the last 37 years. Currently I am the Chief Human Resources Officer for Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen WA. I am in a van pool so the 110 miles a day round trip doesn't seem so bad. My wife is a Special Services Director for a local school district. Jeannie Hamrick | I managed to survive the many distractions of the sixties in SF and graduate from SF State with a degree in English. Spent the next 20 years in banking operations, auditing and systems, first with Security National in Walnut Creek and then with Wells Fargo and the Federal Reserve in SF. I met the love of my life and moved to Tehachapi (high desert east of Bakersfield) in 1989. Love living in the mountains and enjoy the easy pace of a rural lifestyle. I'm a Systems Analyst at Cal State Bakersfield. Spare time pursuits include amateur astronomy, bicycles, beadwork and volunteering at Red Rock Canyon State Park. Ray Hare | Native Californian Ray Hare has expressed himself through art at an early age. In high school he won numerous state and national competitions. He received a full scholarship to California College of Arts and Crafts where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with High Distinction. Ray then went to San Francisco State University to receive his Masters of Fine Art. Ray Hare is based in Orange County, California where he and his wife Susan raised their three children. His art has been shown in numerous museums including San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, DeYoung Museum, Oakland Museum, Crocker Kingsley Art Museum and the Los Angeles Art Institute. Many prominent corporations and institutions have added his work to their collections. He was commissioned by ABC to paint a portrait of Oprah Winfrey for her private collection. Commissioned by NBC to paint a portrait of Elizabeth Taylor for her private collection and by Fox Network to paint a portrait of Ray Charles for he and his son Ray Charles Jr's private collection. Dave & I got married in '87, second time for both of us. We were reintroduced by mutual friends who thought we were meant for each other. I have 2 kids from a previous marriage, Michelle 28, a manager for Pac Bell & full time student, and Nick 22, a senior at St. Mary's. I am a Regional Property Manager working in affordable senior housing for a nonprofit company. Love the work, could do with fewer hours & less travel. I've been working in property management for the last 18 years. Dave has followed in the family tradition and is a meat cutter for Raleys. His folks had a butcher shop for many years in Concord. After 15 years of teaching I got my Administrative Credential and Masters at Fresno Pacific University and was an elementary school administrator for 10 years. After I got both my children through college I gave up the stressful life of an administrator and went back into the classroom and taught for 8 more years. I retired in 2005 and moved to Arnold, CA.
