Steve_McGrill I have thoroughly enjoyed checking out the new website, especially the yearbooks from intermediate school days.  I didn't even know those yearbooks existed! Those of us who went to Loma Vista had many friends from the Mt. Diablo side of town.  Thank you for providing the opportunity to reconnect with that somewhat forgotten part of my past.
I'm still teaching fifth grade at a wonderful school in Chico, right across the street from the high school where our new town hero, Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rogers, got his start.  I'm still loving the job, so I think I'll keep at it for a couple of more years.
I have had the good sense not to take up golf in my older years.  My high school buds that I used to hack around Concord Muni with (Mallett, Pooler, Rath etc.) could tell you that my golf game stank back then.  It hasn't improved with age.  I do enjoy playing in competitive pool leagues and tournaments here in town, and sailing when the opportunity presents itself.
The best part of life right now is being a grandpa.  I currently have two-year-old  and seven-year-old grandsons living right here in town.  I am so fortunate to have the little guys (Brody and Caleb) so close, as they are the center of my universe these days.

Larry Medcalf Went to DVC after graduating, but only wandered around aimlessly,  checking in with my teachers every few weeks to see how class was  going.  Joined VISTA and spent 2 years working in Baton Rouge, La.   Figured out a few things, returned to California, graduated from CSU  Hayward (East Bay??), got married, went to Indiana University, got  divorced, finished my Ph.D, got lucky and landed at San Francisco  State University.  Twenty Eight years later, while sitting in the  Theatre singing along to "Jersey Boys," discovered the stranger  sitting next to me also knew all the words and could sing in key.  I  flirted, she flirted back, we exchanged email addresses, and three  years later I popped the question during Sunrise at Machu Picchu.   Retired from SF State, got married and moved to Fresno.  Plan to live  happily ever after.  Still fondly remember CVHS and many people who  were good friends for many years.

Last Bio Update: Retired from City of Antioch in 2004 after 20 yrs and moved to Magalia, Ca. Sleepy little blink of a town, 20 miles NE of Chico in the foothills at 2800 ft elevation where one can experience all four seasons and when I want can sit out front on the porch n see deer, squirrels, and raccoons pass thru. I've worked part time now at Lowe's for the past 10 yrs. Laura and I after nearly 30 yrs of marriage and a third as much raising our two grandsons decided that we would be better friends than spouses!! Taking life as it comes and looking to enjoy the future .. you never know what's around the corner until you take that step n peek .. think my peek around it is turning into something good!! See you at the 50th reunion !!

Laura Miller Merrill In 2014 I moved back to Concord into my own Condo. First time on my own -- a new experience. A New Chapter - a New Book - starting over at 65!!! Feeling like 45!!! New Goals: Getting and staying healthier, achieving a true and healthy independence, developing a clarity of widsom, and developing "friendships" FIRST. You women understand that one LOL. New Dreams and wants: True happiness and contentness with SELF first so I can be a better person for others. Want to live life to the fullest and STILL want to DANCE. Looking forward to the 50th. (For those of you curious, Larry (living in Magalia) and I remain friends.)   Concord, CA

Jane Mobley I have lived in Vancouver, WA since 2001. I currently work as a CSR/inventory associate (bookkeeper) at the Port of Vancouver, WA for a large corporation based out of SanAntonio, Tx. since 2008. Wish I could afford to live in California...but too spendy. Ater several years of living on the east coast and the south, very happy to be back on the West Coast! Attended the 45 year reunion and it was beyond wonderful... Hope to still be alive and kicking for the 50th! Every time I go home,(usually once a year) I wish I had a pair of ruby slippers to click me back! After being single for many years now, I think it sure would be nice to have someone special to spend quality time with. Love to fish, camp, dance, cook, etc. Let me know if you have someone that might be interested. Do not do online dating... Blessings to all of my Alumni - Jane Vancouver, WA

Went a round with kidney cancer, doing great... no time for cancer in my life!!!  I still do miss the ocean... TONS!!! Very envious of those classmates who now live in Hawaii!!!!! Maybe someday...
